Chinese Herbal Dermatology

Glenn D. Soja, EAMP, Dipl. OM uses Chinese herbs to treat a variety of acute and chronic inflammatory skin conditions including eczema (atopic, nummular, pompholyx, stasis), psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, acne, perioral dermatitis, lichen planus, tinea, and others.  He has had extensive training in Dermatology and Chinese medicine and specializes in the treatment of these complex conditions.  This form of treatment is natural and effective and can be used to treat a wide variety of mild to severe forms of skin conditions.  Herbal medicine provides a safe alternative to conventional steroid therapies that can have long term health consequences.  Through the use of Chinese herbal medicine the symptoms aren't suppressed, instead the root cause of the condition is addressed thereby stabilizing the inflammatory process.

Treatment involves the use of Chinese herbal teas that are consumed along with external ointments all of which are produced by Glenn Soja, EAMP, Dipl OM.  The internal medicine is custom formulated based off of the unique presentation of the individual's skin condition.  The teas are prepared in-house using high pressured machinery and vacuum sealed into easy to consume sachets similar to what is used in the hospitals of China.  This process allows for a higher extraction of herbal constituents compared to stove top preparations.  Through this extraction process a more effective herbal tea is produced.

The in-house herbal dispensary stocked by Glenn Soja, EAMP, Dipl OM contains only the highest quality Chinese herbs.  When available, organic herbs are stocked.  When organic herbs cannot be sourced, herbs that test negative for over 220 pesticides, sulfur and heavy metals are used.
